[Invitation to Participate] 2019 RWK Show & Tell Night

Mark Beebe

In keeping with recent tradition, the 2019 November RWK meeting (11/14) will be our annual "show and tell" night!  This is your opportunity to share a project or corner of the hobby with fellow club members.

Interested in participating? Just shoot a message to vp@... with your topic or project and contact information to secure your spot.

Small group presentations are encouraged too, and please know you don't have to be a technical whiz, master engineer or expert to participate - though those folks are certainly welcome too :)  All submissions will be accepted as long as we have room on the agenda.

Please consider participating in this event, and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks and 73,

Launch is at 10:00AM from far southwest Houston (Wharton).

This is the single frequency repeater (SFR) that was tested in the DFW area several months ago. Use Simplex 1 (441.0/CC1/TG99/TS1) that you hopefully already have programmed in your radio. The repeater will listen on one timeslot and transmit on the other.

You'll know you're making it if you hear DMR DX from out of your region.

Please send reception reports! I'm very curious to see how far the DMR radio horizon is from 100,000ft.

DMR Repeater on Weather Balloon - Saturday 9/28 @ 10:00AM until Landing - 441.0MHz/CC1/TG99

Andrew Koenig

[Please forward to other interested clubs/groups]

Launch is at 10:00AM from far southwest Houston (Wharton).

This is the single frequency repeater (SFR) that was tested in the DFW area several months ago. Use Simplex 1 (441.0/CC1/TG99/TS1) that you hopefully already have programmed in your radio. The repeater will listen on one timeslot and transmit on the other.

You'll know you're making it if you hear DMR DX from out of your region.

Please send reception reports! I'm very curious to see how far the DMR radio horizon is from 100,000ft.

The Richardson Siren test is scheduled for 12:00 noon on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.  The attached list is submitted to the City of Richardson to show radio amateur coverage for the test.

Currently, #9 needs coverage.

There will be  a roll call at about 11:55 AM on the 147.19 (pl 110.9) repeater.

Phil, N5UH is NCS.

It's always a good idea to monitor the repeater beginning at about 11:30 AM, in case there is additional information about the test.

The RWK repeater committee may schedule a repeater coverage check along with the siren test.

Thanks to you for volunteering.
