I did the same, IC-9700 144.800MHz FM with horizontal dipole up 35’ --- nothing happened while I was watching the over the ARISS head pass on the internet.

I tuned my base station to 145.80 and actually heard the downlink conversation directly.  I also tuned both uplink frequencies but heard nothing.

In the past, I heard a downlink conversation on my HT with a 1/4 wave whip.

RWK Newsletter Articles

Hi Everyone,

As anyone who has ever been involved with a newsletter knows, it takes a lot of help and participation to ensure a steady stream of strong content.   RWK is fortunate to provide The Chawed Rag to members, thanks in large part to our amazing newsletter editor Mimi Siminiuk, K5MMI.

In order to ensure we're able to produce a March issue (and many more issues to come), we need your help with article submissions.  We accept articles of all kinds, from technical pieces, to equipment reviews, to history articles and more.  If it's tangentially ham related, we're potentially interested in publishing it.

So if the RWK newsletter is something you find valuable, please send Mimi your submissions and ideas at editor@....  Please know that you don't have to be a world-class writer, and we're happy to provide editing assistance.

We're looking forward to reading your article soon!

Re: Ed Fong antenna club buy

Billy's right, the cutoff was midnight last Friday, the check's already been mailed, and Ed has told me that they're working on the orde, and that it will likely be at least three shipments, it's so large.

It is also very likely that we'll do another group buy, he's said "tell people not to worry, we can do this again".

Am guessing the Ed Fong antenna group buy is over? Been down with a cold, and last I saw, it would go on for a few weeks.

Trouble with groups.io, is we can never see any email addresses that are posted. They are truncated, and the domain area is substituted with ellipses, like the below.
